Ryoiki no Yukiki translates from Japanese as Traversing Territories. This is an innovative project initially designed as a collaboration between the Nottingham Trent School University and Musashino 6t University. The project aims to promote cross cultural communication, exchange of ideas and the experience of artists and educational practices in another country. It is intended to encourage further international cooperation in the arts and to expose people to new approaches to art they would not normally encounter.

The project will involve 5 students from Nottingham Trent Department of Fine Art and 13 students from Musashino Art University. In June 2005 students from Nottingham Trent travelled to Tokyo and collaborated with their international counterparts culminating in a week long exhibition. Afterwards in March 2006 5 of the students from Musabi came head for Nottingham to take up the challenge.

In March 2006, as part of Node.L season, the Nottingham and Musabi stutens came to London and run a night of a series of live performances at the Someth;ng studio.
